Friday, August 5, 2011 was my opening reception at Gallery 919 Market in Wilmington, DE. There I featured 15 new as well as several previously exhibited paintings. The reception, which was part of the City of Wilmington's Art Loop, was open to the public and included sculptures by acclaimed Delaware sculptor Richard Bailey, a live violinist, complimentary wine, and a generous spread of delectable hors d'oeuvres provided by my lovely wife Michelle. I personally want to, from the bottom of my heart, thank my wife, all of my family, close friends, and co-workers that came out to support me at this very important event. I would also like to thank Gallery 919 Market's Art Director, Jerry Bilton for providing to me the opportunity to exhibit my work in such a wonderful facility. Thanks to everyone that came out to support me at the November 11, 2011 group showing at the Peter Louis Gallery in New York City! Despite the unexpected move to a smaller, less traditional venue, the event, overall, turned out to be an excellent networking opportunity. The turnout was great for such an intimate space.
This was my second group showing in the City. This particular exhibit showcased an eclectic mix of artists, styles, and mediums. I was very fortunate to score an entire wall, as my works are pretty large and space was at a premium.
The following are a couple of brief videos of the event. Hopefully this will give you a little flavor for what the experience was like:
