  • Several of Yakime Akela Brown's paintings were featured in the 13th issue of Phosphorescence Magazine, which was released on February 18, 2011.     
  • September 23, 2011 - Yakime's painting entitled "Breach" (48" x 72" acrylic on canvas) received honorable mention recognition and will be shown in a group feature of Artist Portfolio Digital Magazine Issue 4. (use the following URL to view):

  • New! Yakime will have a solo exhibition of several new paintings as well as some other recent pieces at the Wilmington Drama League during their run of the musical "Parade" from January 27, 2012 through February 11th. There will be an artist reception on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM with a cash bar and complimentary hors d'oeuvres. The Wilmington Drama League is located at 10 West Lea Blvd., Wilmington, DE 19802. NOTE: The artist reception admission is free and open to the general public. Discounted tickets to the musical "Parade" are also available to individuals participating in Wilmington's Art Loop the evening of February 3rd as long as purchased at the box office before 7:00 PM that evening.
